On last week’s WWE Monday Night Raw, Eva Marie returned to WWE after four years. In her promo, Eva Marie stated that she will bring the ‘Eva-lution’ to WWE. On this week’s WWE Raw, another vignette of Eva Marie aired, in which she stated some inspiration quotes and wants to see herself as ‘super role model’.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed about the Eva Marie’s return. Bryan Alvarez stated that WWE’s current plan to book Eva Marie as babyface motivational speaker. Dave Meltzer also recalls the former WWE superstar Emma (aka Tennile Dashwood) gimmick ‘Emma-lution’ and stated that ‘Eva-lution’ gimmick looks like similar to that.
We had another Eva Marie video package, there were two of them on this show. And I could be wrong here, but what she seems to be trying to do is be like a babyface motiviational speaker,” said Bryan Alvarez.
Wishing everyone an amazing #Tuesday 🥳😘

“The idea is she’s a supermodel who’s worked hard to become a supermodel and somehow yeah the idea is she’s a celebrity who wants to help other people. So she is a babyface, it is weird. It’s actually, if you think about it, a couple of years ago, and right down to the ‘Eva-lution’, you remember the Emma-lution? I mean this is basically the Emma character that they teased for like whatever it was, six months, and then one week after she debuts they drop the whole thing because they feel like she can’t pull it off, after months. Although Emma was a heel. But it’s very similar to that character that they were doing with Emma years ago,” said Dave Meltzer. (H/T: WrestleTalk.com)
Eva Marie initially signed with WWE in 2013 and also became the part of first season of Total Divas. She made her in-ring debut in July 2013 and faced a lot of top female superstars then. She also had short run in NXT, in which she faced Asuka, Bayley, Carmella and others. In 2017, she exited from the WWE and on last week’s Raw, she made her WWE return.
