Jeff Hardy returned to WWE TV on this week’s Monday Night Raw after long gap. He had a one-on-one match against Jinder Mahal, who returned to WWE after recovering from the knee injury. Jeff Hardy lost the match against Modern Day Maharaja and that led speculations that Jeff Hardy’s WWE contract might end soon.
Now, we got an update about the Charismatic Enigma Jeff Hardy’s WWE contract status. According to the PWInsider, Jeff Hardy had still had a lot of time left in his current WWE contract as he signed new deal last year. It was also noted that he deal was in 2-3 years range.
“Since the usage of Jeff Hardy the last few weeks (appearing on WWE Main Event) followed by his loss tonight on Raw seems to have sparked questions about whether his WWE contract is coming to an end, we are told by a WWE source that Hardy still has “a good chunk of time left on his deal” as he acknowledged last year that he had signed a new deal. At the time, PWInsider.com was told that new deal was in the 2-3 year range.”
Jeff Hardy didn’t feature on WWE TV from the past few week. He appeared on WWE Main Event show last week, in which he faced Jinder Mahal before battling on WWE Raw and lost on both matches.
The Hardy Boyz returned to WWE in 2017 at WrestleMania 33 and won the Raw tag team titles on the same event. They had good run after their return but Matt Hardy left WWE and joined AEW in March 2020.
Following Jeff Hardy’s loss to Jinder Mahal on WWE Raw, Matt Hardy reacted about it on the Twitter. He posted a gif of himself and Jeff Hardy, teasing possible reunion of The Hardy Boyz.
