In April 2019, Bray Wyatt introduced with The Fiend gimmick and his first victim was The Prince Finn Balor. That led to match between them at Summer Slam 2019, in which The Fiend pick up a dominant victory over the former Universal Champion Finn Balor.

Following that WWE fans wanted to see the Demon Balor to battled The Fiend but it didn’t happen as Finn Balor moved back to NXT. Now, we got an update about why we didn’t see this dream match in the WWE.
On the recent edition of Mat Men Wrestling Podcast, Andrew Zarian was asked whether Demon Balor vs. The Fiend is on the cards of WWE Summer Slam 2021. Then, Andrew Zarian stated that WWE have actually planned Demon Balor vs. The Fiend in 2020 but to Covid-19 pandemic plans have changed.
Finn Balor last wrestled as Demon Balor in 2019 against Andrade for Intercontinental Championship. In the recent interviews, Finn Balor stated that he had intentions to bring back the Demon King back at some point but currently there is no plans of returning Demon King.
The Fiend Bray Wyatt last wrestled at WrestleMania 37 Night Two against Randy Orton. But during the match, Alexa Bliss turned on The Fiend and cost his match against Randy Orton. From then, Bray Wyatt wasn’t seen on WWE TV and it was recently reported that Bray Wyatt was purposefully kept off to television.
