At WrestleMania Backlash, The Miz and Damian Priest collided in Zombie Lumberjack Match. As a part of promotion of Dave Bautista’s new movie Army of the Dead, company used Zombies as lumberjacks instead of WWE stars.
On the recent interview with Alfred Konuwa of Forbes, The Miz shared his thoughts on his zombie Lumberjack Match at WrestleMania Backlash. The A-lister stated that he wasn’t known whether it will be success or failure but he always enjoyed doing something different and out of the box.
“I had a blast with it,” The Miz said. “I always enjoy whenever there’s something different and something out of the box, and whenever there’s something like that, I wanna be a part of it because you never know what’s going to happen. You never know if it’s gonna be a success or if it’s gonna be a failure.”

That zombie Lumberjack Match was won by the Damian Priest after he pinning The Miz. Following that, zombies entered the ring and devoured The Miz and John Morrison.
The Miz also talked about the fans reaction to the zombie Lumberjack Match. He stated that fans were 50/50 about the match and he always tried to give his best that fans deserves.
“People were different, people were 50/50 ‘oh we can’t stand this match,’ or ‘oh my God this is a great match, it’s kind of funny, it’s kind of interesting,’” The Miz added. “So I just look at it like ‘I’m gonna do the best I possibly can and give the match that hopefully everyone wants and deserves.’”

Later, it was reported that the former WWE Champion Miz got injured during the zombie Lumberjack Match and would be out of action for nine months. He also returned on latest edition of Monday Night Raw and hosted Miz TV with special guests Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair.
