The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre battled Allmighty Bobby Lashley for WWE Title at Hell In A Cell 2021 pay-per-view. In a hard-fought battle inside dangerous structure, Bobby Lashley defeated McIntyre with some help of MVP.
So, with the stipulation Drew McIntyre won’t get another title opportunity until Bobby Lashley held the WWE Title. So, it seems there’s possibility that McIntyre could be moved to Smackdown.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that Drew McIntyre is completely out of WWE title picture after his lose to Bobby Lashley, so, this could possibly build a brand switch to McIntyre on upcoming draft in August. It also gives the fresh opponent for Roman Reigns, who much needed one.
“Bobby Lashley retained the WWE title in the Hell in a Cell match main event over Drew McIntyre. The stipulation was that if McIntyre lost, he could never challenge for the title as long as Lashley is champion. This could easily build to a brand switch, which also gives Roman Reigns a fresh new opponent since he obviously needs one.”
The Universal Champion Roman Reigns successfully defended his title against Rey Mysterio on last week’s Friday Night Smackdown. But this week Rated-R Superstar Edge returned back to WWE after losing at WrestleMania 37 and attacked Roman Reigns. It was also announced the Edge will challenge Roman Reigns for Universal Championship at Money In The Bank 2021 PPV.
There were also many reports that John Cena might return to WWE and will face Roman Reigns at WWE Summer Slam 2021 event. Currently, Roman Reigns took out entire smackdown roster over the year and needs some credible challengers and Drew McIntyre will be perfect one for Tribal Chief.
