From the past few months WWE have released several superstars with some shocking major names. Under normal circumstances, every superstar set for non-compete clause which will prevent them to sign with other promotions for certain period.

WWE usually set 90-day non-compete clause for the main roster superstars in their contract, while, NXT Talent will have shorter period of 30-day non-compete clause in their contract.
Recently, it was reported that several released WWE superstars asked for free hand on their non-compete clause slated by the company. Now, we got more details about that matter.

According to the Fightful Select reports, recently released WWE superstars can able to get out of their non-compete clause early than given period. WWE was planning on omitting non-compete clause for that person altogether but it didn’t went as planned.
It was also noted that wrestlers didn’t have any problem regarding this issue while discussing with the WWE higher ups dealing about their non-compete clauses.
Recently, another set of releases came out. Even though, they all are from 205 Live and NXT, many of them have 90-day non-compete clause while other can wait only for 30-days to sign with other promotions.
With non-compete clauses, wrestles will also get paid for that period from the company after their release but sometimes talent want to get of it as soon as possible to grab the other chances.
