Chelsea Green is one of the few superstars released by WWE in April 2021 due to budget cuts. Apart from her, the company also released Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Mickie James, Tucker, Kalisto, Bo Dallas, Mojo Rawley, and Wesley Blake.
Chelsea Green recently had an interview with Those Wrestling Girls podcast and discussed about several topics. While speaking, Green revealed that she would only return back to WWE if she was offered the Lilly gimmick. Here The Green said:
“Honestly, if they called me and said do you want to be Lilly, I would in a heartbeat. Because that is totally the type of character that I just feel like we need to see, and I want to be that person.”
During the same interview, Chelsea Green also stated that she really wanted to play the current gimmick of Alexa Bliss. She was also jealous of Alexa Bliss as she thinks she that’s the exact type of character she would have thrived in.
“Trust me, I tried, I really tried. And when I saw Alexa Bliss do what she’s doing, I’m so happy for her, but I have forever been jealous of that character. Because I know that that is the exact type of character I would’ve thrived [in] if I was given it. But, you know, that’s the crazy thing about wrestling.”
Chelsea Green also revealed that she pitched to team up with The Fiend and Alexa Bliss before Lilly arrival. She wanted to wrestle and make the same impact like The Fiend in women’s division as Bliss is not wrestling that time.
“[The Hot Mess character] would’ve been perfect!” Exclaimed Green. “Trust me, I tried for so long. And I also thought if it was just The Fiend and Alexa Bliss, before Lilly, they could have a third person because Alexa wasn’t really wrestling at the time, she was kind of just going along with The Fiend. So, I thought if they had kind of like a woman they could puppeteer, that could be me and I could still wrestle in the Women’s Division and we could impact both the males and females.”
