The former NXT UK Champion Pete Dunne is one of the top superstar in NXT and previously, it was reported that his contract with WWE coming to expire soon. Now, got an update about the status of Pete Dunne’s contract with the company.
According to the Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select report, Pete Dunne has been offered an extension on his current WWE contract, which is much like that of his fellow NXT star Adam Cole, is reportedly expire soon.

It was also noted that WWE officials seems to be “surprised to learn Pete Dunne’s deal was coming up soon,” and offered a new contract extension. Fightful Select also added that there’s very little information on the situation beyond that.
This report also further states that Pete Dunne was offered a contract extension to his present WWE contract during the Summer Slam weekend. However, there is no information about the length of the extension of the contract or any potential terms. There is also no details whether he agreed the contract extension or not.
On last week’s NXT, Pete Dunne came out and confronted new NXT Champion Samoa Joe. So, it seems that he’s the new #1 contender for the NXT Title and will be challenging Samoa Joe for the title in coming days.
